#1 Electric Vehicle Chargers Company in Kansas & Missouri

Electric Vehicle Charger Installation

Barrett Solar is proud to offer EV charger installation services

Types of EV Chargers

An electric vehicle’s ability to quickly recharge depends on two things: a home’s electrical supply and the EV charging unit used. EV chargers are broken down into three levels. Level one chargers are the slowest, while level three chargers are the fastest.

Level 1 Chargers

A level 1 charger comes standard with an electric vehicle. Because they use a standard 120V outlet, these chargers are most useful for slow overnight charges. Charging Speed 3 to 5 miles per hour.

Level 2 Chargers

Level two chargers do their job faster but require an electrician for installation. These chargers need a dedicated 240-volt circuit to supply a current strong enough to charge an electric vehicle at a faster rate. Charging Speed 12 to 80 miles per hour.

Level 3 Chargers

Level 3 EV chargers are incredibly fast but require an industrial supply of power, making them difficult for homeowners to install but perfect for commercial applications. Charging Speed 3 to 20 miles per minute.

Questions Answered

Get answers to your most common questions from Barrett Solar

Generally speaking yes all EV chargers are universal however you will want to verify the plug for your vehicle is compatible with the EV charger you install. There are also new bidirectional chargers which with the right vehicle allow you to back up your home power with your vehicle in case of a grid outage!

The answer is yes. It all depends on how often you need to charge but we can estimate just how much electricity you will consume based on the number of miles you drive per month. If you pair your EV with solar on your home you can charge your vehicle with power that you generate from the sun which is much lower than what you will pay your utility company.

Very little. EV chargers are remarkably simple to maintain. If installed properly it is unlikely you will have any maintenance required.

The cost will depend on what EV charger you choose as well as the specifics of your home’s existing electrical system. For this reason we cannot provide a general quote but we are happy to offer a free custom estimate for your home.

Best-In-Class Electric Vehicle Chargers Installation, Awesome Customer Reviews

We are fully transparent, easy to deal with, offer great communications throughout the installation process and we delivery high quality equipment at the lowest prices!

I have been interested in solar for some time. I answered an ad on Google. I received a quick call and a visit from a Barrett salesman, Stephen. He was perfectly honest on what could be done and how. I was sold. However, I wanted the panels on my roof where they can’t be seen and I needed a new roof before solar installation. In Mid-mo it is difficult to get anything in construction. Tyler and his crew were patient while waiting 4 months for the roof. The roof was finished on a Thursday nite and Barrett Solar was there and gone within a few hours on Friday. I haven’t worked with a nicer bunch of people who were available every time I needed a question answered. Switching to solar was smooth. The only thing I did during installation was flip the switch on!!!! Thanks again everyone.
